Our team created a website for Catalano, a fine-dining restaurant located in Switzerland. Its key strengths are a premium visual aesthetic and food of the same caliber, yet we noticed that its social media presence wasn’t ideal. It looked visually pleasing, but it lacked one crucial element: storytelling. Filling a profile with beautiful photos and videos isn’t enough - every high-end restaurant does that.
It’s essential to show a potential guest why your restaurant stands above the rest, to highlight what sets it apart. To achieve this, the visual identity must reflect both the concept and the atmosphere, so that a person feels the desire to visit the restaurant the moment they see its images.
Catalano has a complex and unique concept, which means a potential guest needs to understand where they’re going and what they can expect. That’s why we transformed the Instagram account into an art gallery: 3–6 images arranged in two rows for each hall, using unique color filters and angles. This grid accomplishes three tasks at once: it conveys the atmosphere, showcases key menu items, and highlights the interior. At the same time, it’s important to leave part of the experience off-screen to give guests the joy and wonder of discovery.
As a result, we turned beautiful yet chaotic content into something special, inviting, and compelling. The same materials, a different approach - and success followed immediately.
